Here we will explore the primary structural elements that support the body and transport the needed nutrients to all parts of the body. This means exploring the muscles, bones, and vessels, and in Oriental medicine the Meridians are added to this list

Muscles, tendons and cartilage hold our body upright, protecting organs and allowing for movement. There would be no walking, texting, or waving hello without bones, muscles, Meridians and vessels. Collectively they support one another as well as the various organs and Organ Systems of the body. We would be remiss to ignore these critical aspects of the body.

Having an awareness of their interconnectedness helps unite the body’s functions. These entities allow us to live, express ourselves, breath, move, and so much more.

We’ll start be considering muscles and bones and then move on to the Meridians and Vessels.
